WFUNA International Model United Nations (WIMUN) is the world's most accurate simulation of the United Nations. Located at the United Nations Headquarters in New York City, the World Federation of United Nations Associations (WFUNA) has worked closely with the UN Department of Public Information to precisely simulate the United Nations in Model UN programs and provide students with the most realistic experience possible.

The WIMUN conference features intensive training workshops taught by UN officials, briefings on important agenda items by UN Agencies, and conference sessions at the United Nations Headquarters in its flagship session in New York. WIMUN is the one of the first conferences to implement the WIMUN Approach on such a large scale, and they are working towards improving Rules of Procedures for educational purposes and bridging the gap between UN and MUN Rules of Procedure. Moreover, for the first time the WIMUN will simulate the International Court of Justice (ICJ).

The WIMUN Brazil will take place in Campinas, Brazil, in September 2-6, 2018 in partnership with FACAMP - Faculdades de Campinas.

Among the students that are part of the WIMUN Brazil team are Gabriel Meneghel Caseta and Isabela Fernanda Mendes. Mr. Caseta and Ms. Mendes attended the 2018 Brazil Initiative Summer Program which took place at The George Washington University's Elliott School of International Affairs last June. Mr. Caseta is holding the position of Assistant Secretary-General for General Assembly Affairs and Conference Management, being responsible for the logistics of the event. In its turn, Ms. Mendes was assigned to write one of the articles that will serve as the basis for the studies of the students who will delegate at the event.

The registrations to the event are open until August 15 and must be done through the WIMUN website, where all the detailed information about the event, such as registration fees, accommodation options, and so forth, can be found.

Should you need any further assistance, do not hesitate to contact Mr. Caseta at gameneghel97@gmail.com and Ms. Mendes at mendes.isabelafernanda@gmail.com.
